I have been fascinated with makeup since I was a little girl. Maybe not the makeup itself, but the results in which it yields. As a child, I came to the conclusion that women who wore makeup exuded a certain confidence about themselves even though it may not have been their intent. I admired that. I would always stare at those women in amazement and say to myself "that's going to be me one day". As I got older I would play in makeup that I stowed away secretly, because I was not allowed to wear makeup at a young age. I would go on to dabble in my makeup until I got better and better. Eventually my friends wanted in on the action and would occasionally commission me to do their makeup if they had a special event to attend. Despite the praises from my friends and family, I never imagined I would become a makeup artist. I wish I had some elaborate story to tell, but unfortunately, I do not. I did not chose this whole makeup thing, it chose me. I fell in love with enhancing women's beauty. The feeling I get from raising someone's spirit is indescribable. I want my clients to have fun and feel good about themselves. I love to see the looks on their faces when I finish applying the makeup and I hand them the mirror. I like to think that I brighten their lives, even if momentarily.
